Surfactants play a core role in personal care, cleaning, and laundry products. They are classified by ion type and function into anionic surfactants (primary cleansers, providing rich foam and detergency), amphoteric surfactants (auxiliary agents for mild conditioning and irritation reduction), and non-ionic surfactants (auxiliary functions for mild or specialized purposes).
